Hot tapping Project successfully finished
Based on the design requirement of Wu Petrifaction oil refining for promotion and reformation and, it is necessary to twitch head in mash gas system irrigated area. Because the above-mentioned system doesn’t carry its point of segregating and stopping production, we should carry out collaring with pressure for five times.
As we all know, if hydrogen content of pipeline ranges from 4% to 75%, it’s very easy to bomb, once it is mixed with oxygen or sparkle、static. According to the statistics from USA Aerial Bureau about 97 accidents caused by hydrogen.
We can see that 62％ accidents caused by contacting with atmosphere, and 17.2％ accidents caused by static. The pipeline we operated has mixture gases, and we have to carry on the electrical welding and collaring with pressure, and the hydrogen content of pipeline are 8.08%,10.47% and 69.67% respectively, if we are not careful about every link, it’s easy to cause accident.
Under such a dangerous situation, our company attached great importance with earlier stage work, before coming into operation; they not only made fully preparation and drill based on the factual spot, but also made overall analysis about safety, quality, dangerous points and control points; and work out a detailed blue print for emergency. With the leadership of Geng Shuwen, one of the project managers, all the staff finished the task successfully.
